I just heard about Patsy's passing from Kathy Pedley. The three of us worked together at El Camino Surgery Center. Patsy was a legend in so many ways. She was a brilliant and experienced nurse, and she didn't suffer fools! I was intimidated by her at first, but she was expert at mentoring and bringing along more junior nurses in her intimidating yet nurturing educator/mother way. Eventually Patsy became one of my favorite co-workers and work friends. She made me laugh so hard, and never took herself too seriously. I will never forget the silver "fish Friday" earrings she wore weekly, and attributed to her Catholic faith. I know she absolutely adored her family and her friends. She was one of a kind and though I have not seen her for many years, I still miss her. My condolences to her family, as they will certainly miss Patsy terribly. Godspeed my friend.

Patsy was a wonderful friend & co worker. Her care & devotion will live on in all those she touched as a nurse and a friend.I will always treasure my special friendship with Patsy girl... from all of our shifts working alongside together for 20yrs at El Camino Surgery Center, she was an amazing nurse & mentor. Her laugh was contagious and smile so genuine. So many great memories made, I never had a bad day working with her. After moving up to Oregon in 2018,we met up several times more with Ed and made some more beautiful memories.I will deeply miss my Patsy girl.

I have only know Patsy for 25 years but man, did she make an intact on my nursing career. I meet Patsy when I started at El Camino Surgery Center in 2000. She was my mentor and I am a PACU/admit nurse because of her. I will always remember the holiday, birthday and retirement parties where a lot of laughter, some tears and good company was shared. Patsy would come visit me at Sutter Health in the past few years when she was in for an appointment. I loved hearing her stories and catching up with her. Man, could she talk. Patsy, I will miss you smiling face, your kind heart and the many years together. Teresa Lydon RN

Sween and I go back almost 70 years when we met at the Russian River when we were thirteen years old. So many times we shared. She introduced me to Burlingame and San Mateo, and I introduced her to San Francisco. We had some great times and were each other's best audience. We shared weddings, being Godparents to our children, and most outings and activities. She was "Auntie Patsy" to my tribe. Laughter was the best. I miss her deeply.

I will miss my first best friend! We met in kindergarten and spent so many fun and happy years together. We kept in touch all our lives and last talked to each other on her birthday in January. I feel sad that I will not be able to talk with her on my birthday coming up at the end of April. It will be the first time in 80 years!
I treasure our long friendship and all the wonderful memories we had together and I am also very happy that I was able to share that with her on our last phone
call.
My deepest sympathy to Danny, Brian and Michael,
Carol Petty
