Patrick Flannigan Obituary

Patrick Flannigan
Patrick Flannigan (1937 - 2024)
Lincoln, Calif. - Patrick Flannigan, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully, on May 27, 2024, at the age of 87.
Born and raised in Washington state, Patrick joined the Navy after high school, then disembarked his ship in 1958, under the iconic Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, where he met his first wife, Joan.
Patrick spent 47 dedicated years at PG and E, working evenings at the Double Play, a San Francisco institution. There, he met lifelong friends and built countless memories in the city he loved.
Patrick was honored to serve as a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus.
Patrick loved sports, particularly his San Francisco 49ers and SF Giants, rarely missing an Indianapolis 500, loving auto racing, enjoying both playing and watching golf, and cheering on his favorite college sports teams!
Patrick is survived by his wife, Marisue Flannigan, who lovingly and tirelessly devoted herself to Pat's care over the last few years, for which Pat is eternally grateful, as are his family and friends.
He is also survived by his children, Charles (Chuck) Flannigan (Christine), Marilyn Lynch (Dennis), and Monica Flannigan (Zach); grandchildren, Brendan Lynch (Zayna), Bridget Lynch, and Molly Sachen; siblings, Kathleen (Kay) Eagleton (Bill), Brian Flannigan (Margie), and Mary Valdez (Greg); former wife, Diane Flannigan; step-children, Dean Prince (Lynn), Dawn Prince (Suzanne), Marcy Snedeker (Eric), Derek Prince (Alma), Scott Willers (Sharyn), Stacey Healy (John); and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews across the Heaverlo, Flannigan, Pallari, and Rodgers families, whom he cared for deeply.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Joan Flannigan; parents, John and Celeste Flannigan; his dear Uncle Bill and Aunt Charlotte Heaverlo; parents-in-law, Charles and Helen Rosenbohm; siblings, Nancy Schmidt (Gary), Terrence Flannigan, Michael Flannigan, and Carole Taylor (Bill).
A rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 280 Oak Tree Lane, Lincoln, Calif. 95648. Reception to follow.

I met Pat at our local parish Saint Joseph's in Lincoln. Pat and I would talk about our love of old San Francisco, the 49ers, and our beloved Giants. In recent years Pat would organize a trip to a Giants game. A group of us would drive down to Vallejo and take the boat to the ballpark. It was so much fun talking about the Giants and the old Double Play bar and many other subjects. I will miss Pat, my heartfelt condolences to the Flanigan family during this sad time.
