Paul Suslov Obituary

Paul A. Suslov M.D.

Paul Andreevich Suslov MD, passed into eternal life on October 22, 2016. Dearly beloved husband of Tamara Suslov M.D. (who passed in 2005). Loving father of Marsha Mussett, John Suslov, and Kathryn Suslov M.D.; and step-father of Peter Wamsley and Sophia Wamsley Schluter M.D. Paul was born in Inner Mongolia in 1927 to Russian parents and received his initial training and professional experience in ophthalmology there. He lived through the Japanese occupation of Manchuria, and then later the Communist revolution in China. He emigrated to Australia and then to the United States. His love of travel continually took him around the globe-to Russia, China, Mongolia, Australia, Mexico, Alaska, Israel, India, and Africa. His lifelong dedications were to family, medicine, and the Orthodox Christian Church. He had an abiding sense of humor and mischief and was loved by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
Friends and family are invited to attend the Panihida on Tue. 7:30pm (tonight) and Funeral Wed. 10:00am both at Holy Virgin Russian Orthodox Cathedral 6210 Geary Blvd. S.F. CA. Interment Serbian Cemetery.

Papasan was my dear friend and I will miss him. He did always make me smile. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Sending sympathy and especially my love to the family. I am very sorry to miss the service and not be there to give you all a hug.
