We are so saddened to just learn of Perry's passing. His Aunt "Sissy" was a member of our family for many years, and we enjoyed socializing with all the Perry family. May he enjoy his heavenly voyage as he did all of his earthly travels.

I was so saddened to hear of Perry's sudden passing. He was my next door neighbor on Keoncrest Dr.until I moved out of my parents home in 1972 when I got married. We were only 1 year apart and I remember walking past his house on my way to the corner store and he would have Jimi Hendrix or Led Zeppelin blasting out his bedroom window during our jr. high/high school years. He wore a favorite brown suede jacket with fringe and remember when he would walk up the street, the fringe was a swaying. Always friendly & cheerful without a care in the world. His parents were kind and caring, too. A wonderful family. We lost touch after I moved out of the area but later connected again when my mom and I decided to visit the old neighborhood and rang the door bell and out came Perry. Soon after, we exchanged Christmas cards and I would love to receive his vacation picture cards. You will be missed Perry Burns. (a kind and gentle soul)

Perry was a lifelong San Franciscan. He loved the City--all of it, good, bad, or in between-it always provided something new and exciting. He was an active member, past president, and all-time supporter of the Native Sons of the Golden West for over 25 years.
Like his father before him, Perry spent his career working at the San Francisco Chronicle, where he first started in 1977. He was a loyal member and avid supporter of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 853.
Perry was a classic early adopter, to use a marketing term; he was one who pursued passion for life - which he put on full display - with the enthusiasm of three people. His interests were many and varied from bongo drums, archery, surfing, fishing, biking, walking, racquetball, photography, yoga, meditation, water purification, vitamins; all pursued with reckless abandon and total commitment.
Over the years the one thing that was a constant was Perry´s love of travelling the world. He always had wonderful stories of his latest adventures and photographs to document each and every memory.
Perry was a shocker. If his actions or his latest passions surprised you, then he got a real kick out of it because he wanted to be that guy who got your attention, who showed you something new.
We will miss his positive spirit, bright smile, infectious laugh, and cheerful demeanor.
