Peter Asano Obituary

Peter Mitsuru Asano

Peter Mitsuru Asano was born on November 28, 1932 in San Francisco to Shichinosuke (former editor and publisher of the Nichi Bei Times) and Naka Asano. He passed away unexpectedly on October 19, 2014 at the age of 81 years old leaving his loving and devoted wife of 56 years Violet and their three sons: Tony (Georgi), Andy, and Alan (Kelly). Also, survived by four grandchildren (Erin, Brian, Darren, and Paige); one great-granddaughter (Angelina); brother Tadashi (Naomi); sisters Setsuko Ogami and Hisako (Jiro) Futamachi; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sacramento Japanese United Methodist Church, 6929 Franklin Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95823.
