Leafing through the Washington University Alumni Magazine, I learned that Peter died over a half-year ago. We became friendly during my last semester at the university when Peter, two years younger than me, took a class in medieval European history. We sat next to one another in the class which was taught by the late Professor Edward Weltin and developed a friendship with one another and with the professor. Many years have passed, and while we were never in contact after that time, I remember Peter well and am saddened to learn of his death. My condolences to his family.
