What a great friend I had in Pete, I think about him all the time. I googled his name tonight and found this, not sure if it will be read since its been so long since this remembrance. I hope his family knows I love him and miss him all the time. I have never made a friend like him since, that bar is hard to reach. I was friends with him from 1990 to 1998. We were on the wrestling team together at SI. We were pen pals the first year after high school when we both went away for school. I still have those letters and they are a great memento. When we came back to the Bay Area we were pretty much inseparable after that. We were in a band together and Im sure we were going to really shake things up, we never got the chance to fulfill that mission. I know we change a lot in our 20s to 30s and I wonder what he would be doing now. Would we still be close? People come and go in our lives but Pete is one person I hope I will see again some day. Im so sorry for what we all had to go through and I know his parents got the worst of it. I hope they are receiving grace and I wish them peace. Pete I miss you brother, I truly do.

We remember Peter with those happy days when he spent time here at our house. Every time I look out the back window I can see the tree in your yard where he and Justin built their treehouse. Time heals , but we will always remember Peter's smile.

Peter's death was a life changing experience for me. I can still remember that terrible day . I miss you ever day Peter, you were an amazing person, a hero. I have always believed that everything happens for a reason but I still cannot figure this one out. Thank God for you, Peter. Thank God to have had you in my life for the time that I knew you. I know that you are an angel watching over me. May you rest in peace.
Love Always,
Katie

Don, Madeline, & Dean,
Your family was so generous to us when we first arrived at SFO. Getting to know Peter & Dean was a pleasure. Though my time with Peter was brief, his death and your loss has had a tremendous affect on me. Know that I think and pray for him and you often. He will never be forgotten.
