Philip Lavin

Philip A. Lavin Jan. 29, 1935 - Dec. 25, 2011 Philip A. Lavin went home to be with the Lord on December 25. Phil was a native of San Francisco and lived out his 76 years here in the Bay Area. He was retired from Pacific Bell and later spent many happy years employed at JFK Construction. Phil most loved being with his family, was an avid golfer and a devoted San Francisco Giants and 49ers fan. Phil will be forever missed by many dear friends and his beloved family, lifelong love Diane Lavin, son John Lavin (Ruth), son Gregory Lavin, son Roy Foster (Julie), son Greg Foster (Susan), granddaughters Nicole Lavin and Kristina Foster, grandson Dustin Lavin, brothers Francis Lavin and Joseph Lavin, and sisters Mary Derrick and Bernadette Kelly. He joins his mother Viola Lavin, father Miles Lavin, and brother James Lavin in eternal rest. Family and friends are invited to join a worship service and celebration of Phil's life at 11:00 AM on Sunday, January 1, at the San Francisco Missions Outpost, located at 160 6th Street in San Francisco. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the San Francisco Missions Outpost at 3728 Cesar Chavez Street, San Francisco, CA 94110.
