Died peacefully in his Mill Valley home on November 7th at the age of 98. Born in Laredo, Missouri he moved with his family to California during the Great Depression, attended UCLA and obtained his graduate degree from USC. He married the love of his life, Eleanor Benham. He served during WWII as a Captain in the Army Air Corps.
Porter was a dedicated high school football & baseball coach, Santa Monica High School Dean of Boys and Vice-Principal.
Porter's Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 16th, 11 a.m. at the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour, 10 Old Mill Street, Mill Valley. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the ALS organization

My deepest sympathy to all the Leach girls and family. Porter was a real light in my life - my most favorite male member of the famous "Arbramar Gang". I will miss him dearly, but know that he has joined Ellie, and all of his other friends in Heaven. My heart is aching.
