When I started my career as a locomotive engineer on the Southern Pacific railroad in 1973 Junior was the first engineer I ever worked with. I later had the pleasure of working as his fireman (assistant engineer) regularly and knowing him throughout the rest of his and my railroad career. He was extremely well regarded by all of his railroad family and will be fondly remembered by us all. Truly a great guy as well as an excellent engineer! We're all richer for having had the pleasure of his company! My sincere condolences to his family and his friends on and off the railroad.

To Fran and all of Junior's family, my deepest sympathy.
What a treasure to have called Junior a Friend. He was one of the most interesting people it has been my pleasure to know. Kind, intelligent, curious, and generous...a very good man. May He Rest in Peace.

So sorry to hear Junior has passed. What a sweet man. Boy, will he and my brother Heff be telling Railroad stories up there! I agree with my niece Linda how wonderful he and Frances found each other. May God help you through this big loss, but wow what stories and jokes you'll all share about him! At least that's what
us Irishmen and women do! God Bless all of you.
