Ramona Orona Rueb

Feb. 24, 1922 - July 30, 2014

Ramona passed away peacefully in her hometown of San Francisco, CA. Loving mother of Allen Rueb and Christina Rueb. Grandma to Fred Rodriguez and Raquel Rodriguez-Meono, Peter Rueb, Anna Challet and Jeannot Challet. Great-Grandma of Melanie Anne Kristensen and Chelsea Rodriguez.
Ramona was born to a family of migrant workers in Candelaria, TX. She grew up in an orphanage in Santa Fe, NM. She came to SF during World War II and was a "Rosie the Riveter," working as a welder on Liberty ships being built in Richmond. She was a waitress at Foster's, Zim's, Bighorn and Bill's Place on Clement St.
A visitation, Thursday from 5pm-8pm with a rosary at 7pm at Halsted N. Gray-Carew & English, 1123 Sutter St. A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 10am at St. Monica's Church, 470 24th Avenue, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.

I love you grandma you were the best grandma I could have ever asked for thank you for loving me unconditionally. I was always proud to call you my grandma thanks for being an exempliary example for all of us to follow. I will miss you forever.
