Renato Bellatorre Obituary

Renato Joseph Bellatorre November 11, 1911 - January 12, 2007 Passed away peacefully at the age of 95. Born in Sagamore, MA, to Maurizo and Palmina Bellatorre grew up in San Francisco moved to Redwood City in 1954. Husband of the late Lena Bellatorre; survived by son, Ronald Bellatorre (Anita); daughter, Joan Axtman (Jake); granddaughters, Gina Furrer (Mark) and Jennifer Munsey (John); great-grandsons, Devin, Lucas and Brett Furrer and Jack, Garrett and Carson Munsey and nephew, Jay Veach (Jan). Retired after 50 years as plant manager from William Wallace Company in Belmont, CA. After retiring he and Lee spent their time traveling all over the world and enjoying their family. They were active members in Redwood City's, Fun after 50 organization. Ray enjoyed working with his hands especially creating things with wood; he made everything from dollhouses to mailboxes. He walked his neighborhood daily and was friendly to all. He was most famous for his homegrown tomatoes and shared them generously. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent his Sunday afternoons cheering on the 49ers. Ray will be dearly missed and always remembered by those who knew him. Visitation Wed, 10-5pm at Redwood Chapel, 847 Woodside Rd, Redwood City. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am Thursday, January 18, 2007 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 300 Fulton St. in Redwood City. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma, CA. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Tuition Assistance Fund, 301 Grand St., Redwood City, CA 94062.

I am so sorry about the loss of your father. I remember all the great parties and the lovely times we had when our familes got together. These happy memories will live with me the rest of my life.
