Dear Father Curran,
Looking back on the 52 years I spent in Higher Education, eight of which were at University of San Francisco, yours and Father Francis Harrington´s names come vividly to mind, he as Treasurer of the St. Ignatius Church Rectiry, and you as USF´s Head Counsel. Your compassion for fairness, justice, and equal treatment, no matter the rank and file of USF´s employees, was commendable. I recall in my role as Risk Manager in the 80´s, discussing various claims over lunch in your office or often on a park bench on campus. You were a profound listener and your judgement of any situation was always on point. You were a friend to all and always open minded in our conversations. As I moved on to UC Berkeley´s Office of Legal Affairs, I held your professionalism in the highest esteem. My years working with you will always be a highlight of my career. Rest in peace, my dear colleague and friend.

You will be sorely missed, Bob. I treasure our days together at LMU and our friendship throughout the years, especially your ministry to my family. Ecce sacerdos magnus!

To me you were Bob Curran and I first met you in 1975.
I knew you when we were young and you were practicing law in Noe Valley. I need to thank you for my prosperity in life not only monetary but for the wonderful friendship with your paralegal Linda. Rest In Peace Rev. Bob

Dear Bob, God must have needed a very good lawyer! Because you are everything a good lawyer is supposed to be! You are also a wonderful and caring priest, but God has a lot of priests, so I don't think that is why he took you now. To me and my family you were something even more important - a good and true friend! From the day we first met at Loyola University, you added dimension to my life and enriched all of us around you! You became the first Jesuit scholastic on the university debate team and distinguished yourself as a speaker! The one thing you couln't do was sing. To this day the thought of you intoning a high mass scares me. So please don't sing in heaven, everybody might leave! I used to call you the "midnight Jesuit" and I tried to defame you jokingly at every opportunity. Your great sense of humor allowed you to return fire with a smile! We will miss you my dear friend! Atticus Finch is proud of you!
