Richard Wortham
Beaumont
Richard, "Richy", Wortham Beaumont died on December 2, 2012 at the University of California San Francisco Transplant Center of cancer and organ failure. He was 43 years old and a fourth generation Californian born in Healdsburg. He graduated from Healdsburg High School and attended Santa Rosa Junior College. He was known by everyone as a gentle, kind and caring young man who always had a smile on his face. A Star Trek aficionado, Richy could cite the many episodes he so enjoyed. The happiest days of his life were when he was working and driving his beloved dog "Baxter" in the back of his pickup. He loved working at his step- father's winery and taking care of the animals on the farm.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Hayes Beaumont and his step-father Stephen A. Zellerbach, and is survived by his mother, CiCi Nervo Zellerbach, his step-mother, Pamela Beaumont of Santa Rosa, his step-brother, Gary Zellerbach of San Francisco, his uncles, Frank Nervo of Sacramento and Henry Beaumont of Santa Rosa, and his Aunt Christine Nervo Reidell of Washington, DC.
A Memorial gathering for Richy will be held at 1200 noon on Saturday, December 8, at the diVine Pizza Restaurant in Healdsburg. In lieu of flowers the family encourages donations to either UCSF Foundation for Kidney/Pancreas Research c/o Regan Botsford at UCSF, 220 Montgomery Street, 5th Floor, San Francisco, CA, 94104 or the Healdsburg District Hospital, 1375 University St, Healdsburg, CA, 95448, Attn. Administration. Arrangements by Fred Young Funeral Home, Clovedale, 707-894-2540.

Please allow me to express my sincerest sympathies, as I have just heard that Richard has passed away. Richard was always a kind person with a big heart and smile. He would always say hi to me and address me by my name. I would always see him in Healdsburg driving with his dog and chatting with the locals. Richard was truly a kind person, he will be missed. God bless him, I believe he is in a peaceful place looking down upon us with a smile.

Godspeed Richy.
The world was a better place with you in it. You taught us all the meaning of true perserverance in life and how important it is to enjoy every day we are given.
You always had a smile on your face and were giving of your time to any and all that you came in contact with.
May you smile down upon those you have left behind knowing that you have enriched their lives and made an impact well beyond the short time you spent with all of us.

I remember Richy as one of the first people I met when I got to Healdsburg. We didn't spend a lot of time talking but the few that we had were meaningful. You're such a smart guy and had an insight that most people don't have. I am absolutely sure that you will be missed.

I loved Richys chats at work, he was fun to talk to, always upbeat and positive, regardless of what he had gone through.........A TRUE INSPIRATION!! RIP RICHY, your strength and attitude was planted in us all, I trust that to be true. Prayers to your mom, sorry for her loss :(

I did not know ritchie very well in high school. he has a face i will always remember. i ran into him back in 1991 at a gas station and again on f.b.. i am happy that he and i connected again and were able to talk a litle more and get to know each other. i will miss ritchy and i know that he is in a better place.
