RICHARD DUFFY Obituary

Richard (Rich) L. Duffy
Born in San Francisco, April 9, 1936, peacefully passed away on July 23, 2012, after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the love of his wife, Diane and family members. Rich is survived by Diane and two stepsons of Orange County, CA; his six children: Diana Vaughn of El Dorado Hills, CA; Karen Weber of San Francisco; Matt Duffy of Alta Loma, CA; Steve Duffy of Olive Branch, MS; Jim Adams of Elko, NV; and Thomas Adams of Columbia, MO. He is also survived by sister Eileen Healy of Hollister, CA, twelve grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews. After graduating from St. Ignatius and the University of San Francisco, Rich's early years found him climbing the corporate ladder quickly at Wells Fargo Bank both in Oakland and Grass Valley. Following that long career he opened his own property management company starting in the Bay Area, then later buying a property management business in Palm Springs. He was later joined by wife Diane in the business which they grew together into one of the best known and well respected companies of it's kind in the desert. After selling their business there, they moved to San Juan Capistrano where Rich continued to work in the property management business before fully retiring. He loved playing golf, traveling, reading, and best of all, spending time with his precious grandchildren. His Irish wit and humor will always be remembered by his friends and family.
