Richard Grey Obituary

Richard Clarence Grey

1931-2015

Richard "Dick" Grey, of San Rafael, California, left this earth on the same day he entered it, March 14th. He was 84 years old. Richard was born and raised in the Bayview district of San Francisco to Neva Duffy. He attended Portola Junior High where he met his future wife, Connie Stathis. He continued on to Commerce High School. Richard and Connie married in 1949 and he went to work for Knight Roofing. In 1960 Richard went to work for Western Roofing as a foreman. His career took him and his wife all across the western states; including Hawaii and Guam. He worked for Western Roofing and the Local Union #40 until he retired in 1995. Richard loved watching football and playing golf with friends, family and the SIRS. Richard and his wife were very social and surrounded themselves with their friends and family. Richard is survived by his beautiful wife Connie; sons John (Shelley) and Ted Grey; grandchildren, Jessica Keach and Ben Grey; four great granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Lois Lucero. A celebration of his life will be held at his home at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, March 28th.
