Richard Manning Obituary

Richard Stanley Manning
Richard Stanley Manning, lovingly known as "Stan," passed away on June 21, 2025, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. He was 87 years old.
Born on April 16, 1938, in San Francisco to Ruth and Jay Manning, Stan grew up in the Sunset District. Stan attended Abraham Lincoln High School, graduating from the class of 1956. After high school, Stan studied Industrial Engineering at Heald Engineering College. He began his career at Fairchild Semiconductor, followed by National Semiconductor.
Stan is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Judi; his son John of Santa Cruz; his daughter Lynn and her husband Todd, and their two sons, Jack and Max, of San Anselmo; his brother Jim and wife Gretchen; and his niece Andrea and her husband Doug, of Denver, Colorado.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and forever remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering optimism.
A celebration of Stan's life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Chaminade Resort, 1 Chaminade Lane, Santa Cruz, CA 95065
