Robert Anthony Aviani It is with a sad and heavy heart that we regretfully announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Anthony Aviani. Last week Bob suffered a fatal heart attack and died peacefully in his home in Georgetown, CA. Bob's whole life revolved around his beautiful family. He was a loving and adoring father to Adine Aviani Caffas and late son Aaron Paul Aviani. Bob was a doting grandfather to Dylan Kyran Caffas. Bob leaves behind his one and only love Kay Aviani, his wonderful sister Alene Meyers, his son in law Mark Caffas and his step granddaughter Cassie Schneider. Bob was blessed to be an uncle 9 times, a great uncle 16 times and a great great uncle, 3 times to loving nicees and nephews. Bob was born in San Francisco, California on September 11, 1939. He served in the Armed Forces from 1956 to 1963. He worked in San Francisco as an electrician for 35 years with Local Union 6 and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 40 years. Bob enjoyed his retirement living in Georgetown and exploring the Northern California Gold Country. Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, March 8th from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Avenue, Daly City with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 9th at 11:00 a.m. at St Stephen's Church, 451 Eucalyptus Drive, San Francisco. The burial will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 1500 Mission Road, Colma, with a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bob's name to St Patrick Fathers, 19536 Eric Drive, Saratoga, CA 95070 or at www.stpatrickfathers.org. Bob will be truly missed by his family and friends; rest in peace.
