Robert Fong Obituary

Robert K. Fong

July 1, 1922 - December 11, 2016

Born on July 1, 1922 to parents Frank Fong and May Leong, Robert Kay Fong grew up in Bakersfield, CA with five siblings (Sarah, Paul, George, Donald, and Raymond). He began his studies at U.C. Berkeley in 1939. Bob served as a military meteorologist during WWII before graduating from Cal with a B.S. in Chemistry in 1948. After graduating from Hastings Law School, Bob practiced law in San Francisco from 1952 to 2012. He married Lillian Low in 1950, and they raised their three children in the Richmond district. The couple lived at the Carlisle since 1996. Lillian predeceased Bob in 2012.

Robert passed away peacefully on December 11, 2016. He is survived by his two daughters, Barbara (late Kent), and Karen (Calvin), his son Morrison (Liz), and six grandchildren: Eric, Kevin, Christopher, Alyssa, Kellyn, and Kelty.

The family would like to express their appreciation to all his caregivers for their devoted care since 2013. We are grateful for the staff at the Carlisle Wellness Center and the DaVita dialysis center at CPMC, for all their efforts to make Robert's life a healthy one.

Private family interment ceremony will take place on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 11:00am at the Rockville Cemetery, 4219 Suisun Valley Rd, Fairfield, CA 94534, (707) 864-2421 (www.solanocemeteries.us/rockville.htm). Celebration of Life luncheon to follow, contact family for details.
