Robert "Bob" Clark Gould, 79, of Rancho Mirage, California passed away on June 11, 2014. He was born January 7, 1935, in Portland, Maine, to Lt. Harold W. Gould and Carol Crouch. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ann Gilmore Gould; his two sons, John Wilson Gould and William Miller Gould; daughters-in-law Tonia Allen Gould, Lauren Lamison Gould; and grandchildren Whitney Ann, Griffin Robert, Miles Benner, and Graham James. As the son of a career Army officer, Bob lived in Maine, Hawaii, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, Florida, Oregon, New York, Ohio and California. Bob attended Alamo Heights High School, San Antonio, Texas; the US Military Academy at West Point, New York; earned his Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Texas, Austin; and Masters in Business Administration at California State University, Hayward. He worked in banking, real estate and started his own company, Medalist Financial Services. He settled in San Carlos, CA in 1963 where he raised his family until 2000 when he retired to the California desert. In addition to his passion for family and friends, Bob's favorite pastime was golf. He was a 53 year member of The Olympic Club in San Francisco, where he served on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer. After retirement, he was a member of Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California, where he served on golf committees and played with the Gold Tee Group. Bob was a volunteer for youth sports and multiple US Open Golf Tournaments, holding various positions and chairmanships over the years.
