June 29, 1939 - January 5, 2023
Robert Joseph Nealan, 83, passed away peacefully January 5th, 2023, at home with family by his side. Bob was born June 29, 1939 in San Francisco where he attended St. Gabriel Catholic School, and graduated from Riordan High School. He resided in Danville for 45 years and Rossmoor/Walnut Creek this past year.
He is survived by his children Kevin (Jana), Teri, Molly, Jenny and Bonnie (Mike); his grandchildren Jessie (Rob), Robert (Natalie), Danielle, Shane and Michael; and his great-grandchildren Jacob, Cheyanne, Daylen and Flynn. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Elizabeth, his brother Allan, and his loving wife of 41 years Sheila Marie.
He was a proud 64-year member of UA Local 38, a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, and a lifetime fan of the SF 49ers & Giants. He had a smile on his face everywhere he went, and had many jokes to share. His calm demeanor and strength will be missed by his large family, many cousins and friends.
Rosary will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023 @ 6:00pm at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave. Daly City with visitation beginning at 5:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday, January 20, 2023 at St. Gabriel Church, 40th Ave and Ulloa St. in San Francisco, and a private burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to the Amyloidosis Foundation or the charity of your choice.
