Bob's Mom, Bob, and Teresa - Circa1968

I heard of Bob's passing on April 3, 2013 from a family member's phone call. I met Bob around 1964 at a birthday celebration in Sausalito, California. He was very close to his Mom and took care of her until the end. He also always showed a great concern for his Dad's and brothers' health and well being. Often his family, his brothers' children and grandchildren, were in his thoughts. Bob's friends from the 1960's and prior, Dennis, Richard, Lina, … please contact me. SFPD colleagues, you all were very special in Bob's life - he was very proud of having served. Thank you for your service Bob.
I am grieved over Bob's passing but take comfort in knowing that he now dwells in the House of the Lord forever and ever. Rest in peace Bob. You are terribly missed.
My deepest condolences to Bob's family and friends.

May the Mighty Quinn rest in peace. Bob gave me the best financial advice I ever got back in 1975---he told me I should buy the house next door to him on Colby Street. I did and we were neighbors until my wife and I moved up to Oregon in 1992. I went to countless ballgames, concerts, dinners, even silent movies at the old Avenue Theater with him over the years. Bob was a kind, compassionate, gentle man and a dear friend. I'm so thankful we got to visit and have breakfast with him on San Bruno Ave last July when we were in SF for the weekend. The Portola District has lost one of its best ambassadors. God Bless You Bob-O, we'll be saying prayers at Mass this Palm Sunday for you and the Quinn family.

I enjoyed the many coversations with Bob over the years talking about politics, history, sports, and the airport. Bob had a great sense of humor, that came to my attention in 1998 when Bob went to Ireland with a group of officers from the SFPD and we marched in the Saint Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin. Bob was a kind and considerate man who cared deeply about his family and friends. My heartfelt condolences to the Quinn family, may Bob rest in peace.

Dear Uncle Bob,
Thank you for all the wonderful dinners and conversations we had together for the past several years. I am sorry that we didn't get to know each other earlier, but I enjoyed the time that we got to spend together. Most of all, thank you for caring so much for my children. You will be missed, and we will think of you, especially when we visit "Yet-Wah."

Bob was a very nice man, and I'm sorry to hear of his passing. He was our landlord in Oakland for quite a few years and we got to know him quite well during that time. Our condolences to his family.
