Robert Rowan Obituary

Robert J. Rowan

Robert (Bob) Rowan (68) passed away peacefully at home in Scottsdale, Arizona on January 15, 2015 after a very brief illness. When asked where he was from he would say 'Staten Island, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Chicago, San Francisco, Monterey, Salt Lake City, Lake Oswego and finally Scottsdale". His 35 years at United Airlines made all those moves possible and his love of travel, beautiful sights and good food made it even more rewarding. He also proudly served in the Army as a chaplain's assistant in Worms, Germany.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patrice, his children Christopher Baer (St. Charles, Illinois) and Jennifer Baer (Palo Alto, California), his sisters Christine Herbkersman ( Virginia Beach, Virginia) and Lynn Kelley (Lawrenceville, Georgia). He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Rowan (North Olmsted, Ohio).
A 'Celebration of Life' will be held in his honor at Poplar Creek Grill, 1700 Coyote Point Drive, San Mateo, California on March 26, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00PM. His family and friends are invited to get together and make one final loving toast to Bob. He will be greatly missed and remembered for his love of life, his beautiful smile and his wonderful sense of humor.
