Robert (Bob) Suhl, 85, of San Carlos, passed away on December 28, 2016. Robert was born and raised in San Francisco and attended Polytechnic High School. He was a devoted and loving husband to Gloria Suhl who passed before him on February 12, 2015. He was a hard-working and giving Father to nine children: Wayne, Keith, Craig (Val), Colette, Suzanne, Brent, Jeanine, Nichole (Chuck), Cheryll (Bill). He absolutely loved and adored his grandchildren: Jennifer, Myya, Justin, Lauren (Jacob), Charles and Nicholas. In addition to raising nine children, he also raised his granddaughter Myya from the age of two years old.
Bob was drafted into the Navy and was "Fortunate to play Baseball" while serving in the Navy. He was athletic and loved to jog after work at the Balboa track in SF, ride his bike around his home in San Carlos and he was a huge fan of the SF Giants, 49ers and Golden State Warriors!
Bob was a dedicated and devout Catholic who always went to church. He would pray every day and say a rosary for each one of his children and grandchildren. He was a very active parishioner at Epiphany Grammar School in San Francisco and volunteered his time as a coach for his children's sports teams, school carnivals and CYO. He loved to take each of his five daughters to "Father Daughter Dances" at Presentation High School and loved to dance with his wife Gloria at Family gatherings and attend functions with the "Club" from Epiphany.

Bob was an unforgettable "Grandpa" and he loved to make his grandchildren laugh and smile. He always showed an interest in their lives and gave endless support for their passions and dreams!
Bob's children will always remember the wonderful family vacations to Lake Tahoe, Yosemite and BBQ's at Rengstorff and San Bruno Park.
Bob will remain "Forever in our Hearts" by his family, friends, relatives and community.
Family and friends are invited to a Vigil Service at 7pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at CROSBY - N. GRAY & CO., 2 Park Road, Burlingame. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at St. Charles Church, 880 Tamarack Ave. San Carlos. Interment with military honors will follow at Cypress Lawn in Colma.

I Remember him around Epiphany. I also Remember Colette. We were nearby on Cayuga and Dad would mention your Dad since both were active up at Epiphany.

Dear Dad,
Thank you for all of your hard work raising nine children in San Francisco. It wasn't easy but you and Mom did it and that's a great accomplishment! You endured a lot of loss throughout your life, but you still remained strong and you gave it your all! Thank you for the fun times, I will always remember our walks on Regan Beach in South Lake Tahoe as we headed to Safeway for ice cream sandwiches (one of my favorites). I also loved going to Yosemite and will always remember the fun we had riding the ponies and donkeys to Happy Trails. I know you loved the boys very much and they will miss you! Go in peace, you've suffered enough and I'm glad that you will be reunited with Mom, Jeanine, your Brothers, your Mom and Dad and other relatives that have passed before you!

We will keep your memory alive by doing the things you loved!
