Robert Wall Obituary

Robert R. Wall Son of Robert E. Wall and Lorraine V. Wall, Robert was born and grew up in San Francisco until the sixth grade, when his family moved to the town of Melones in Calaveras County. He attended Sonora Union High School where he excelled in football and track. In his senior year in high school, he was selected to the 1950 National High School All-American Football Team. In 1951 he entered the College of The Pacific (now U.O.P.) on a full athletic scholarship. He lettered in varsity football and varsity track. He was a member of Pacific's victorious football team in the 1952 Sun Bowl over Mississippi Southern University. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1954 and played football for the Navy for two years. Upon his discharge from the Navy he entered California College of Arts and Crafts and graduated with a bachelor of fine arts degree in industrial design in 1960. He joined the Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union, Local 38 in SF and retired as a Journeyman Steam Fitter in 1993. He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Audrey Franklin and brother-in-law, Joseph Franklin. He leaves behind three wonderful children: son, Robert R. Wall, Shannon Wade (Frank), Pamela Brott; grandchildren: Robert and Daniel Doud, and Tamara Brott; former wife and dear friend, Myrna Wall; cousins; many dear and wonderful friends, and his buddies Linda and June. Memorial Service will be held at Terzich-Wilson Friday, Feb. 10th at 10 AM.
