Ron Wilkinson Obituary
September 3, 1955 - November 18, 2020
It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected, but peaceful, passing of Ron Wilkinson on November 18th in his home. He is survived by his wife, Laureen, brother, Tim, sister, Susan, sister, Judy, brother, Jerry, brother, Todd, a number of cousins, and many dear friends.
Ron was a third-generation San Mateo guy. His Dad, Tom, and his uncle George were his mentors who got him started in the Drywall Business. He became an independent contractor in 1986 and state licensed in 1992. He was the Owner and Principal of Wilkinson Drywall and loved his work. His company is well known and respected for the quality and expertise provided throughout the Bay Area.
He married Laureen in 1993 and shared many interests in common with her, throughout the years, including incorporating her into the business.
Ron was a passionate Golden State Warriors fan and a season ticket holder for 30+ years.
A very diversified guy, Ron played and also loved Golf and Tennis, in which at one time was rated 5-USTA. A football fan as well; enjoyed live music concerts throughout his life, and was a season ticket holder for Villa Montalvo, Mountain Winery and Davies Symphony Hall. His cultural pursuits were inclusive of a fabulous wine collection, being very wine savvy patron of fine wine and epicurean fine dining. His favorite was Aquerellos in the City and he was a regular at Christie's in Burlingame for breakfast. In mention of all Ron's passions, Art is a very viable part. He loved, owned, and enjoyed many fine pieces and loved visiting galleries.
Given the uniquely diversified man Ron was and the plethora of friends who enjoyed his company, one thing was always a solid factor. He was generous, compassionate, caring and supportive to all; inclusive of family, friends, and employees.
Ron will be always missed never forgotten special guy with a huge generous heart and such a way about him. 3 pointers all the way in eternal peace to the gentleman that you were Ron.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ron's name may be made to the local chapter of ASPCA, honoring his love and concern for animals.
Given the Covid limitations, there aren't any plans for a service at this time. A celebration of Ron may take place when the future allows.

Laureen, I was saddened to read of Ron's passing. From his obituary I did learn that he was a man of many passions. May your heart be filled with wonderful memories of your many good times together.

Laureen, I am so sad to see of Ron's passing. While I didn't see him often, when I did he was always friendly, courteous and kind. May the love of family and friends bring you strength and Ron's memory bring you smiles.
