Our deepest condolences to Ron's wife and daughters! I had the pleasure of working with Ron at the San Mateo Elks Lodge! He always had a wonderful smile even when he had delivered not so delightful news! I knew Ron always had my back! He was always professional, but, he didn't hold back if he was disappointed with the catering staffing!
I'm forever grateful and Blessed to have had Ron as a leader, friend and golf course neighbor!!!!
God Bless you and your family always.

"Grief, Ive learned, is really just love. Its all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers
up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go."
~ Jamie Anderson
Rest in peace, Red.

"Mr. D" was a great friend to our family since we were kids at St. Matthews over 50 years ago. He always greeted us with a big smile or a "Hey Slick!" and always took the time to talk with us. He will not only be missed by his wonderful family, but also by the multitudes of people privileged to know him. Hit em long and straight Mr. D!

Ron will be missed by so many people. He was a kind hearted man who worked hard all of his life. He and my father were close friends for almost 70 years. I looked forward to my Monday and Tuesday shifts at Buckys. When I pulled up for work and saw Rons blue truck, it was his Q that it was time for him to go, but he would wait at the front door for me, give me a hug and wish me a good day,.. every time. His had such kind eyes and a huge heart. I want to tell Val, Shelly & Nicole that one of favorite and cherished memories was the 80th Surprise Party you all gave him. Anytime someone brought up the night of the party, he would smile and you could see how proud he felt to have the family he did. I mean it. Val, you and Ron made a great life in San Mateo, for your daughters and especially with each other. My thoughts of Ron will always stay present in my mind, because he was an exceptional man. Love always, Kelly Kahler Ortiz.
