Rosalie Alice Pedranzini

Rosalie Alice Pedranzini Passed away peacefully on November 19, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Richard Pedranzini. Dearly loved and cherished mother of Ray Pedranzini and Rita Quinn. Loving grandmother of Jill Jones, Patrick and Michelle Quinn. Great-grandmother of Cameron Jones. Mother-in-law of Harry Quinn. Loving sister to Guido (Ada) and Ray (Elaine) Protti. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Rosalie was born on April 14, 1914 to Italian immigrant parents, Emilio and Maria Protti. As a native San Franciscan, she had a life-long love for the city, ever- ready to tell new acquaintances she was "born and raised in the most beautiful city in the world." Rosalie attended St. Rose Grammar School and Notre Dame High School, class of 1933. In 1938 she married Richard Pedranzini; a devoted and loving union that lasted almost 50 years. A major portion of Rosalie's life was spent as an employee of Macy's, Union Square where she worked as a retail clerk in the gourmet & wine department. Her year working for Macy's gave her the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, many becoming life-long friends. A beautiful, gentle, kind, spirited and fun-loving woman, she will always be remembered for her warm, out-going personality, unconditional love of family, and that rare gift of seeing beauty and goodness in each person she met. Rest in peace, mom, we will miss you so very much. A special thank you to Aida, Odette, Jim and the entire staff at the Three Sisters Home in San Mateo for their respect, devotion, and excellent care of Rosalie. Thank you also to the staff at the Wound Care Center in Seton Hospital and Rosalie's physician, Dr. Richard Moskowitz. Friends may visit Monday, Nov. 26, at 4pm and are invited to attend the Rosary at 7pm at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City 94014. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 11am at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 1 Elmwood Dr., Daly City 94015. Private family interment to follow.
