Rose Dal Poggetto Obituary
September 22, 1921 ~ December 23, 2021
Rose passed away peacefully on December 23, 2021, in Morgan Hill, CA. Born in Santa Clara, she grew up in San Francisco attending Everett Junior High (1936) and Commerce High School (1939). She spent her entire adult life in living in Burlingame, raising her three children. During her lifetime, Rose volunteered with the Girl Scouts of America and Peninsula Hospital Auxiliary. She and her husband Daniel were also members of the Italian Catholic Federation. Rose was the quintessential family mom. Her life revolved around her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to entertain and host family parties, those planned ahead of time and especially last-minute ones.
Predeceased by her husband Daniel, she is survived by her children Dennis, Michael, and Karen. Grandchildren Amber Dal Poggetto, Heather Quinn, RaeAnn Dennison and Danielle Tanti. Great-Grandchildren Charlotte MacIntosh, Austyn and Camille Dennison and James Quinn. And sisters Laura Boragno, Elizabeth Shattuck, and Sylvia Monahan.
A brief vigil/rosary service, open to family and friends, will be held for Rose at CHAPEL OF THE HIGHLANDS (194 Millwood Dr. Millbrae) on January 6th, 2022 at 1:00 pm. You are welcome to come earlier to visit after 11:30 am. It is requested that anyone attending wear a mask. Rose will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, where there will be a private family burial.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Hanna's Boys Center or St. Anthony Foundation which were Rose's favorite charities.
