Rosina Martini Obituary
April 28, 1936 - January 3, 2021
It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Rosina Ann De Martini of San Mateo, CA and Phoenix, AZ. Rosina was a 3rd generation San Francisco native, born and raised in the Marina District, the third child of Rose and Tony Zanca. Rosina joins the love of her life, John, husband of nearly 58 years, and her beloved parents, sister Marie and brother Tony. Rosina is survived by her three daughters, Robyn Souza, Nancy Bailey (Greg) and Maryann Mocanu (Trent), and her four grandchildren, Lily, Georgia, Sam (Alexis) and Adrian.
Rosina was a devoted mother and nana, and will be remembered for her gentle nature, skills in the kitchen, devotion to Giants baseball, and fondness for Downton Abbey. Her grandchildren loved her "Nana Soup" (broth, pastina & cubes of Parmesan), Cool Whip-covered pudding, and brown bag lunches. She was a dedicated volunteer at the Legion of Honor and DeYoung Museums, but her proudest work was for the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, where she wore her familiar red blazer and shared her love of the Cathedral with the many visitors who were lucky enough to have her as a docent.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption in San Francisco.

I have so many fond memories of your mom and the time spent at your home in San Francisco and at the Ranch. So many memorable times of vacations together and family gatherings. Your parents were always so welcoming and good to our family! May your mom be at peace , reunited with your father!

Dear cousins- may the many memories of your mom give you comfort during this difficult time. May she rest in peace. I have so many memories of your mom, so many get-togethers with the family - mostly at your grandma's. My mom misses her deeply.
