I was shocked and overwhelmed of his passing. He was a wonderful person, and beautiful soul. I will miss and think of him always. He was a great room mate and friend. He was so sweet and super funny! I will always hear him calling me "Hooligan". I'll always remember him, Bob, and I listening to Ozzy Osbourne "Perry Mason" and "See You on the Other Side". That last song is now so fitting. Sammy, I love you to the moon and back, and I'll see you on the other side my beautiful friend. Rest in Peace, and Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let the perpetual light shine upon you. I love you, friend.

My heartaches to know that your gone. When Jody posted the sad news your wonderful smile popped in my head and how if any of us girls had a class with you you held the door open for us. Offered your seat if there wasn't enough. Your such a kind soul is what you are from day one that I met you. Rest in peace for hope to see you one day again

Our faith is tested at times like this. It is difficult to understand why you were taken from us so soon, but we need to be mindful of the true blessing that you were to all of us. Faith gives us the strength to continue on knowing you would want us to honor your memory not with tears but with the same laughter and happiness that you gave to so many. Sammy, you were truly a gift from God and I am honored to say that you were my friend and our friendship will not end at death it is just a farewell that is necessary before we can meet again. Forever in the hearts of all that knew you. Rest In Peace My Dear Friend

I have known Sammy since Parkway and South City High when we were just teens, and was glad to reconnect with him several years ago. The older Sammy was still as funny, quirky, and straight forward, with the additional talent of seeing the world around him from a different angle than most. I miss him and hope that he's having a wonderful time in the after life. I will never forget him. My thoughts and prayers for his family.

Sammy my brother we were meant to get together in June on my last visit. I hold the memory of that night close to my heart. Even though we got the pictures and the memory my heart hurts just knowing you are gone. I thank God we had the chance to hug and tell each other I love you. I miss you my brother.

Sammy - as a small boy you were so quiet and shy. You grew into this amazing man, who had a heart bigger than any man I know. You lived, laughed and are loved by so many people. My daughter loved you like a brother. I am devestated that you are gone, but you lived so freely and made so many people happy, that God figured you had completed your job here. A very sad time for me, but fortunate to have memories that I will deeply cherish - your cuz in this world, Heaven and forever. I love you.

My dearest friend Sammy, classmate of Parkway Junior High, and South San Francisco High, and lifelong pal, you will most certainly be missed. Your friendship was always cherished, and you will forever be loved. We spoke on the phone about getting together whenever I made it out to California, however that can never happen now. For that I will forever be saddened. We always think we have time, but we just never truly know. I will forever hold ALL the fond memories of you growing up throughout our school days, and how much of a fun person and prankster you always were. RIP my dear friend, and know that there are many left behind who care about you, and love you.

When I lost my Ken, Sammy picked up the pieces, he and I bickered, laughed and cried together. I will miss him with my heart and soul.
Sammy was able to laugh through adversity which is a treasure not to many can do.
I will forever love you and miss you my baby brother.
