I miss you, Scott. You were my roommate at ADPhi in your freshman, my sophomore year. We drank your dad's brilliant home-brew and went skiing in Tahoe. I just connected again with Eric Libby and we waxed mournful about you. Rest in peace, my friend.

Regretfully I´ve known more than a few folks that passed way too early, including my own son. I often wonder where they´d be now and what would they be doing. On his new path, I can definitely picture Scott coaching someone through a painful addiction, using all aspects of his energy, force of character and sense of humor to enable that to happen. What a terrible loss for all of us, and especially those who would be in much better circumstances today had his life not ended so early. Deepest sympathies to his parents, family and close friends.

I am in shock. I came across this obituary totally by chance, simply because I was looking up the whereabouts of certain IBMers I had been in contact with. As a supplier to IBM, I had worked and had meetings with Scott in Somers NY, Austin Tx and San Francisco. I had been struck by his brilliant mind, straightforward attitude, his warmth and enthusiasm. I can imagine how much he is missed by his former colleagues, friends and family. May all accept my condolences.

I briefly met Scott in 1986 while he was on a business trip to Dallas. I'll never forget the time we spent and our fun conversation. He was an awesome person, full of life. My heart is heavy now upon hearing of his passing. In an ironic twist, I ended up working at IBM, but never knew he did too. Small world, big company. Miss you my friend.

Very sad to hear this news. Scott was a passionate guy, extremely bright, creative and very determined. I worked for a number of different executives at IBM and he was the best manager I had. He challenged me and helped my raise my game.
I regret that I lost touch with him after he left IBM but I understood that he was pursuing a new passion at school in Austin.
My sincere condolences to all his family and friends.

I worked with (and at some point - for) Scott back in IBM days. Learned a lot of from him. Forever grateful for his trust, coaching and support.
He was passionate about what he did, very fair and supportive - there were very few people like him with a great grasp of technology and business at the same time.
I felt very sad when I heard about him leaving us.....He will always be in our thoughts and memories - he will be missed greatly.
