Loving son, proud brother, adored grandson, nephew and friend passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 3rd. Scott was born February 21,1984 in San Francisco. He was a gentle soul. Scott was a loving, sweet, kind and generous person to all he met. He had a great love for music, dancing, the SF Giants, and his dog Riku. He was greatly loved by his family and friends both in San Francisco and the East Bay. Scott was preceded in death by his devoted father Bob McGreevy, and loving grandparents Bernice McGreevy, Maria and Ted Balmana. He is survived by his grandfather Eugene McGreevy, mother Mary Balmana, loving sisters Michelle Shasky (Joe), Kelly McGreevy, and stepmother Sherrie McGreevy. He is also survived by loving aunts and uncles, John McGreevy (Lori), Ted Balmana (Margaret), Colette McGreevy, Melanie Manning (Danny), many cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed. You are loved,
That is what you said to me when I was so down and felt so alone. Your smile was so infectious and you had such a softness about you that instantly made anyone comfortable,like a teddy bear. I wish I could of been there for you Scotty.
My deepest condolences to the McGreevy family and my sincerest apologies for such late response but I just heard of Scott's death today. He touched my life in so many ways to mention and I will miss him greatly.
