Sean Farren Obituary

Sean Ambrose Farren Passed away on March 20, 2008. Born in Dublin, Ireland on January 27, 1929. He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife, Eloise Aitken Farren; he is also survived by three sisters, three brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins, four godchildren and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Kathleen Duggan Farren; two sisters, Collette Wheelhan and Betty Slattery; and their husbands, Mick Wheelhan and Denis Slattery. Sean was ordained a Catholic Priest in New Ross, Count Wexford, Ireland. He left Ireland for the Diocese of Cheyenne Wyoming where he served until 1978, he served at St. Celia's Parish and St. Stephens in San Francisco. He left his ministry in 1984, was married in 1985. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Funeral Services, 10:00 am on Friday, March 28, 2008 at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, 176 Ridgeway Avenue, Oakland, CA. Internment at Holy Angels/St. Mary's Cemetery, Oakland.
