Shevaun Stapp Obituary

Shevaun Rose Stapp Our beautiful daughter, Shevaun Rose Stapp, left this world on Friday, October 17th. Shevaun's heart stopped beating just a month before her 22nd birthday. She was born in San Francisco, Ca. on Sunday, November 23, 1986. Shevaun was Valedictorian of her graduating class at Sir Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo, Ca. She would have graduated with honors from UC Berkeley in the spring of 2009. Shevaun was a passionate, loving person. She excelled at everything upon which she shined her brilliance. She leaves behind her mother Lisa Stanley Stapp, father Joshua Stapp, sister Blaire Annie Stapp, her beloved dog Harold in addition to a large, loving extended family. We love Shevaun like crazy. We will carry her spirit in our hearts and laugh and smile thinking of her pretty face. We were truly loved. We miss you so much baby. We will celebrate Shevaun's life on Tuesday, October 28th, at 5pm at the Playhouse, 27 Kensington Street, San Anselmo, Ca. 94960. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Shevaun's name to The SADS Foundation, 508 E. South Temple, Suite 20, Salt Lake City, Utah 84102, or online at: www.SADS.org.

Dear Lisa and Family,
We are so very sorry for your loss and our prayers are with you. One of the things that made us grateful you were our daughter Cassandra's 2nd grade teacher was how tenderly you spoke about your own girls. It's clear that Shevaun flourished in that love, which I hope can ease the heartbreak of her passing at least a little.

I'm so deeply sorry to learn of Shevaun's passing.
I appreciated her wonderful strength, humor and integrity at Drake and when she played Titania at White Hill. I'll see you this afternoon at the Playhouse. With love and blesings,

Out of all my dear friends Shevaun, without a doubt, worked the hardest. She strived for greatness and on almost every attempt achieved it, except when it came to playing cards with me at lunch! Never I would trade the 10+ years I spent with her for she always had a smile on her face which obviously made me smile too! Her heart was always the strongest in my eyes and her strength will carry on with me starting today. No more 'I can't's it is now 'I will's. Thank you Shevaun for making those formidable years of our lives greater with your presence. My dear you will truly be missed and I will think of you always when I am in need of some strength and a kick in the butt.
Love Always.

Dear Josh remember when you took 12 mini sized girls and created a softball team. The team played their last game in spirit at graduation but they never stopped being a team.
Shevaun was always the cheerleader
with her hardy shout and freckles and twinkling eyes.........she was the bodacious creator of cheers.
We are in Portland but our hearts are with you and Lisa and Blaire.

Shevaun was one of the sweetest, most wonderful people I've ever met. She was brilliant and smart, and always knew exactly what to say. I will miss the way she could go from tears to fits of laughter in a split second. She was an amazing friend, and I will always cherish the time I got with her. Love to you all and my heart is with you tomorrow. xxx

Our daughter enjoyed Shevaun's loving kindness and warm friendly smile (just like her Mother's) during the times she visited her class last year.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the Stapp family at this difficult time.
