Sophie always had plenty of love to go around for her Corpus Christi children. I was one of the lucky ones to have experienced it many years ago.

Sophie was like my second mother. She would talk to me when she ironed, I remember. Hers was the house all us kids wanted to come to. She didn't seem to mind that I practically lived there too.

Every Christmas we got a special treat when Walt passed out the chocolate-covered orange sticks. And he broke up the only fight I ever got into. I miss him too.

My best wishes and condolences to all of you.

I always remember Mrs Corder in the office at Corpus ready with a smile and a bandaid if needed. What a long and rich life she lived.

I will always remember Sophie Corder as a wonderful loving person. She was a great school secretary, very loving to the children, faculty and staff. My mother , Lillian Black, loved her as did I and many other people. With much love, Anne Elizabeth Black

Sophie is in our prayers. She will always be missed. I knew her longer than my own mother and always enjoyed seeing her and hearing her wonderful laugh.
Lovingly,
