Stelia Ottoboni passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026 surrounded by family. Stelia was born in Castiglione, Italy on July 17, 1934, the only child of Gilda and Luigi Maggi.
She grew-up in war-time Italy, enduring the hardships of World War II. In the mid-1950's, the family, one-by-one, immigrated to the US, joining her father's relatives in South San Francisco. There she met Al Ottoboni who had built a business as one of the original flower growers in the Colma area. Stelia loved working in the flower nursery and remained an avid gardener the rest of her life. Stelia and Al were married for 58 years until Al's passing in 2015.
She lived in Daly City, where they raised two sons: Thomas (Susanne) with grandchildren: Kellie and Natalie; and Steven, (Izabella) with grandchildren: Alexander (Mattea), Brad and Danielle (Brandon), and great grandson, James Albie.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City, with a Funeral Service the following day at Duggan's Serra Mortuary at 10:30am. The Committal will be held privately at the family's request.
