My Dearest Owen - as I am sure you know, your brothers are having a service for you in Michigan on May 11. The third anniversary of your parting which also coincides with Mother's Day this year. I think about you every, single, day and the hole in my heart will never mend. I miss you so much and will love you forever. Your Insignificant other, Lisa.

Dearest Steve, I am so devastated to just learn of your passing last May when I called K&L to joke with you about Bordeaux wines. Car accident upended my world, but I cannot believe your gentle presence, great sense humor and dedication to your craft are gone from this world. You taught me so much, Steve, and I hope you knew how precious you were to me. I will miss you greatly, dear friend. Love you always, Liza
For Steve S., I am so very sorry for your loss...there are truly no words to express this sadness, but I hope you can continue, knowing how many loved Steve. Liza

Was saddened to see Steve's obit in the SF Chronicle. Met Steve many years ago through a mutual friend when he lived on Guerrero/21st St. Even though we hadn't seen each other in years I was always immediately comfortable around Steve and loved his gentle nature and great sense of humor. Will always remember him with very fond memories. Condolences to Steve Simon.

And I forgot to mention that, along with those moments in very special places like San Francisco and New Orleans, there was the barge trip in France and you graced me with your presence at my epic 60th Birthday party at my home in Dunedin, Florida. Thank you!

A chasm a mile wide and a mile deep has been opened up since Steve left us on May 11, 2022. A void that will never be filled, but our memories and stories will help ease the sorrow we have all experienced. Steve, wherever you are going on your new journey, just remember we will keep you in our hearts forever. With all my love, your best friend and lifelong partner.

Oh Owen, I miss you and love you. The world will not be the same without you in it. Don't worry, I will be making our trip to Cassis with Piggy in tow. Even though my heart is in a thousand pieces you will always be in each one of them. Please send my love to Eric, Larry and Earl and tell them I miss them too. This still doesn't feel real.
