Stephen Kish Obituary

Stephen Otto Kish

May 23, 1920 - August 5, 2014

Stephen Passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, August 5th, at S. F. V. A. Hospital surrounded by his devoted family and a caring staff. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lily Delia, and three children; Gail Kish-Molina (Luis), Valerie A. Hough (Mike) and Stephen Paul Kish Jr. (Anjanette), and two beloved granddaughters, Julianne M. and Noelle C. Hough.
Stephen was born in Bridgeport Connecticut . He was a WWII Navy Veteran, completing service with honors in 1952. Civilian life led him to real estate, in which he came to own and operate five real estate offices and manage 55 associates during his more than 60 years as a real estate broker. He was a gifted speaker, leading to presentations at California Universities. He took pride as mobile notary and acknowledged the documents, for many famous, and infamous San Franciscans. He later assumed the role of minister to perform matrimonial ceremonies. As a Member of the Lions Club of S.F., he actively volunteered in philanthropic projects, enjoying the camaraderie of many members for over 50 years. Steve's greatest pleasures were fishing around the Bay Area on his Chris-Craft, and tending to his garden in Marin and S.F. Stephen will be missed and remembered for his unyielding humor and sarcastic quick wit.
Friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Thursday, August 21, at 1:00 p.m. at DUGGAN'S FUNERAL SERVICE, 3434 17th Street, near Valencia, San Francisco. A Reception will follow. A preference in lieu of flowers: Memorial donations in his memory may be made to: The Children's Health Council of Palo Alto or Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California.

We are so very sorry to read about Steve's passing. Years of memories from being backyard neighbors, babysitting Gail, learning to eat spicy food. Gail being my flower girl. You all being there for my Mom's 80th birthday. Steve's caring manner and love for his family. Oh Lily, I am so very sorry for all of your loss! Our prayers are with you and the family. Much love, Carol, Libby and Gabriel
