Our beloved Susie passed away in SF on June 6. Daughter of the late Paul & Nora Manick, and little sister to Pamela & Steven. Susie was the Credit Manager for PPG Industries until her accident in 1993, & then was cared for @ Laguna Honda Hospital for 18 years. For the past seven years Susie lived independently with daily assistance, and so enjoyed her friends at the Janet Pomeroy Centers' Brainstormers Group. Special thanks to Homebridge and Dr. Oberschelp, as well as all the wonderful nurses at Laguna Honda. Private family services have been held at St. Brendan's in SF. Those who wish can make a donation to Janet Pomeroy Center, 207 Skyline Blvd, SF, CA 94132, attn: Brainstormer GroupTo plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Time is supposed to heal a broken heart, but your passing still feels like it was yesterday. I´m sitting in my car on a bluff overlooking Jenner...feels like you´re here with me. We are sisters forever...Nammy

Susie I miss you so much. I know that you are in a very happy place...but I wish that I could have you still here because we really were `joined at the hip´ & you left so unexpectedly. I will never get ovet how hard that was...until we meet again, Nammy

Stevie and I had a lovely remembrance and ceremony for you today...there used to be three of us and now there´s just two...you are so missed. I started to play the Moody Blues for you but the music made me too sad & crying for you. We had two toasts to you with some fine pinot...you´d approve! Sisters forever...Nammy

My little SusieQ...I suppose I could say that I am getting accustomed to not being able to hear your voice or see you when I come to our City, but it doesn't feel any different since you left. I'm still numb & I miss you so much. After all the hard times we went through, I still remember the wonderful times we had as sisters, as a family, and our adult lives that we lived, laughed, cried, cursed, and then laughed again over! I would want you as my sister all over again, nothing changed...Love, Nammy❤

Susie I miss you so much, I cannot believe it's been over 3 months since I haven t heard your voice, laughed with you, or argued with you, seen that beautiful smile that you never lost through it all. You managed through the toughest of times, and I never had the chance or foresight to express to you my admiration and respect for your attitude and strength. When I pass on, I hope that you are the first loved one that I see...please be my guardian angel until that time...Nammy

Hi Pamela, friends and family. So sorry to hear about Susan. She was one of my classmates at St. Brendan's and I remember her fondly. Cute. Smart, funny with long brown hair. She like all the other girls in the class were way more mature than the guys. Of course we all went in different directions when we graduated but wow we turned out okay. Susan will always be in our hearts and wont be forgotten.

I have many fond memories of Sue. Roller skating around Miraloma after school, sleepovers in the camping trailer in the garage,my first grasshopper pie (Pam, I remember you were there.)
Once we picked Holly from the tree in her yard and sold Holly corsages to Miraloma shoppers.
Sue, we'll have you with us in spirit as we gather for our 50th St Brendan's reunion.

Susan was one of my first friends! I lived right up the street on Marietta Drive. We went to St. Brendans school together from grades one through eight and often walked home together. The last time I saw Susan was at our 20 year St. Brendans reunion. She will be missed at our upcoming 50 year reunion this October. My condolences to Pam and Steve.
