Susan Snider Obituary
04/30/1942 - 10/14/2024
Susan was a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and eldest of seven children of Monroe and Betty Snider. Well-read and passionate about many subjects, Susan could start a conversation with anyone, anywhere. Her wide ranging interests from music and the arts to politics and sports made her the perfect "front of the house" person at the three restaurants she helped create: From Scratch in Carmel Valley, Trio Cafe and Suppers in San Francisco. Susan laughed easily and often. She was a fine and loyal friend. If she met you once, she would remember you. Amazing. We all will miss her. She leaves longtime friend and business partner, Martha Johnson; her sister and brother-in-law, Teeny and Dale Jones; and many extended family members and friends. I was heartbroekn to learn of Susan's passing. So many memories of Susan and when I picture her, I picture her exactly like the photo here....so many memories of Susan who had such a big impact on my lfe at a young age. I was jut saying the other day that I needed to get back up to San Francisco for a long overdue visit and wanted to try and see Susan and Martha. Susan....you will be missed and you will forever hold a very special place in my heart.
