Terry McIntosh Memoriam

Terry McIntosh
February 28, 1941 - October 14, 2020
In loving memory of Terry Ann McIntosh (1941-2020), who built a life of peerless integrity, generosity, and levity. She invited everyone she ever met to join the party, and made sure there were See's candies and tequila to spare. Terry was a diligent reader (romance, tabloids, biographies) and a ferociously protective friend to hundreds, from Foster City to Mexico to Japan. Motherhood was her calling: to her four children and five grandchildren, certainly, but frankly to all. Terry's love was so expansive that doctors had to tell her, gently, with profuse thanks for the gift basket, that they felt more at ease regarding her as "Ms. McIntosh" than "Mom." Years after her passing, her family continues to find new artifacts of her endless love and bawdy humor: handwritten notes tucked into purse pockets, letters faxed abroad with freeze-dried Mandelbrot to follow via overnight express. As countless perfect strangers told her family following her passing: Terry was one of a kind. May her ebullience light the way for us all.
