Tom and I were colleagues at BofA. Our professional relationship, with mutual respect, turned personal, golfing together, hosted by vendors and with my husband at Blackhawk Country Club.
One of the many things I appreciated Tom for was his positive attitude. Despite the many heart surgeries he endured, he was determined to survive. He was definitely glass half full.
I remember Tom telling me about Kelly´s 16th birthday. He got her a VW Jetta, had it painted & parked it up the hill to surprise her. No one was more important in his life than his children.
When Tim & Gina decided to marry, he teased them, claiming they were rivaling the Prince Charles & Diana wedding. He glowed when they declared one of their favorite restaurants was the Beal Cafe. When they purchased their home in South San Francisco, Tom joined Tim in adding crown molding.
Tom kept in touch with me. He told me about the births of his grandchildren & I told him about my family. Our friendship was sincere. He called me nearly every day, usually via Facetime. Sometimes we talked for 5 minutes, sometimes for an hour, sharing our lives. He told me shocking stories of his young life he proclaimed no one else knew.
He shared with me his home projects...including converting his fireplace to gas. He told me in detail of the reconfiguration of his kitchen and bathrooms, finally getting them to be what he wanted.
I heard about Ayden´s success in baseball, being invited to join teams older than him and participating in tournaments in Arizona and Hawaii. Tom attended all games he could and followed others online. Maybe someday Ayden will go pro.
Without doubt, his family was his priority and joy.
I collaborated with him to put together a cookbook of his favorite recipes to pass on to his family. We chose to use the photo I took of him on a vendor sponsored golf trip to Scottsdale...the same photo used in his obituary. It is so Tom, raising a glass of cheers with a smile.
He was my best friend. I will forever miss him.

My deepest sympathy to your family. I worked for Tom at BofA in SF for many years. He made going to work FUN. He also coached our BofA womens softball team in SF for years. Thank you Tom for making us better players.
Timmie was our batboy...Tom was a proud Daddy!
I hope in time that your family memories with Tom ease your pain. My deepest condolences to you all.
