1957 - 2017
Tom Fujisaka, grandfather, father, brother and friend, passed away May 2, 2017 in Berkeley. Tom was born and raised in Los Angeles and moved to the Bay Area where he started his family. He was a proud member of the Steamfitters Union, Local 342.After an accident left him quadriplegic for the last 26 years of life, he was determined to live his life to the fullest - continuing to raise his young family and becoming active in charitable organizations. He gave from the heart and touched many lives. He loved Hawaii - the people, the weather and his access to mobile independence.
Tom is survived by his ex-wife Sandra Inaba, sons Tadashi (Elise), Travis, grandchildren Kiyomi, Canyon, siblings Steve (Rosslin), Kathie (Walter Lehman), Barb (Chuck), nephew Steven, Jr. (Julia), niece Shiiyu, dear friend Magela Vaz, special caregiver Maria Ramirez and many friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his parents George and Aiko.
We will celebrate his life and bid Tom "Aloha" on May 20, 10:30 a.m. at the Sunset View Mortuary, 101 Colusa Ave, El Cerrito, CA. We plan to honor Tom's love for Hawaii with Hawaiian attire. Following his wishes, his ashes will be scattered in Hawaii. Donations in his memory can be made to the Always Dream Foundation.

I miss you so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so much. I love you so so so much I wish you were still around with us. I won't forget when we used to go to katana ya and then go to Baskin robins after. in the word, Baskin robins in the pink writes 31 to stand for 31 flavors.

My family and I have known Tommy since elementary school. We were shocked and sadden by the news of his passing. He was a wonderful boy that grew up to be a loving caring adult. My brother and I share many humorous and fond memories growing up with Tommy that we will always cherish. He will be greatly missed! We extend our condolences to the Fujisaka family in hopes that you will find peace and solace in the days ahead.
