Thomas White Obituary

Thomas White

Thomas George White. Born October 26, 1935, Died October 27, 2021. Tom was a native of San Francisco and was the son of Charles and Kathleen White. He was pre-deceased by his sister June. Tom grew up in the Sunset on 46th Avenue between K&L. As a young kid, he did it all – Sutro Baths, Skateland, Playland, Golden Gate Park, Fleishhacker Pool, Camp Mather, Evergreen Lodge. Tom had a Call Bulletin route. His manager was Leon Uris. Tom went to Holy Name Elementary School and Reardon High School. He served his country from 1955 to 1957 in the U.S. Navy.
Tom worked at Pacific Bell for over 44 years, then another 15 years at the Moscone Center after retirement. He also donated over 20 gallons of blood to the Marin Blood Bank. Tom was in the SIRS and was a member of the Italian Athletic Club.
The love of his life was his wife Jane, who came from Boston, and their three children: Charlie, Mary Kay and Jennifer. But the true loves of his life were his 11 grandchildren and great granddaughter.
As a final note, Tom liked to say, "This Picnic can't Last Forever".
