Douglas Martin Hamill (Tim)
Tim Hamill was born in San Francisco, the third generation of James Martin Hamill and Wilhelmina Zanetti Hamill. He attended local grammar schools, high schools, and colleges. Tim served three years in the United States Marine Corps. He spent 53 years in commercial real estate, leasing office space in the Financial District of San Francisco. He also bought and sold properties around the Bay Area and the East Coast, some in partnership with others.
In 1963, Tim met and married Catherine Anne Dibble. They had three sons: Andrew (Stephanie), Scott (Michelle), and Matthew (deceased). They have two grandsons, Connor and Grant. Tim and Catherine lived for 58 years in Mill Valley and Tiburon, and were members of the Mill Valley Tennis Club. They traveled to many countries and were particularly fond of their annual trips to London.
Because of Tim's fondness for North Beach, you could often find him having coffee with friends at Caffè Greco.

Sorry to see this gentleman has passed. I got to know him as he came to my desk at 101 Montgomery & 100 Post many times over a 20-year time frame . He was always very friendly and open and loved to talk real estate and stocks. May he rest in peace. Paul Sheridan
