No one was ever more gracious and generous to concierges than Tommy Toy who personally tended to me and my family every time we dined and experienced old world elegance and fine culinary creations. Such refinement is rare in this day and age. May Mr. Toy rest in peace and may his family be comforted at this time of loss. God Bless

Tommy , It is your birthday into Heaven. I first met you in 1957 at the Tao Lee Yuen Restaurant or was it the Universal Restaurant on Washington Street, S.F. Chinatown? Yes, you were a busboy then and was so very friendlly. You didn't speak any English then but never the less you manage to climb up the ladder to success. You were always so generous and nice to give free dinners and fund raising prizes for the Chinese Hospital Aux.,Chinese Chamber of Commerce Ms. Chinatown Fashion Show, On Lok amd Self Help for the Seniors and etc. etc. I just know you always had it ready for me to pick up when ever I called.Thank You. I know you always helped when someone needed a little helping hand. Especially, Alex Haley who wrote "Roots" You had faith in him and saw something special. Maybe, you were just a special person yourself. I am sure there is a very special seat in God's Astral world for you.

Dear Tommy,
I remember you, you remember me...Thank you for your christmas gift from our Northern California Concierge Association party at your restaurant. My mentor Shelby Topp Chef Concierge from the Parc 55 Hotel year 1984 to this day would trade his tie for mine. The classic Oscar De La Renta emerald black/green paisley pattern tie. Which I still have and love. Shelby will be greeting you with open arms wearing his gentlemans morning suit and Les Clef D'Or keys on his lapels at Heavens gate. Shining stars upon you.... We all will miss you...
