Our most beloved Deacon Tony Querol Paulino passed away on April 7, 2023 in his home in South San Franciso, California. He was married to Rosie Paulino in 1963 and they are blessed with one son, Ronald, and grandchildren, Arron, Kim (Arron's wife), and Valerie. Deacon Tony was born and raised in Makati City, Philippines as the first son and second child of Silvestre Paulino and Conchita Paulino. Tony is survived by his 4 sisters and 1 brother: Leticia, Dulce, Gloria, Betina, and Roberto, as well as his wife, son, and grandchildren. He also had another brother who predeceased him: Silvestre Jr.
In 1986, Tony, along with his wife, immigrated from the Philippines to the United States to work for the Philippine Consulate in San Francisco, California. He worked as an Administrative Officer of the Philippine Consulate for 4 years. When his consulate term ended, he turned his attention to his faith. He was blessed to be associated with the religious and clergy. He was part of the Secular Franciscans for over thirty-three years. He was imbued with the Franciscan inspiration and continued to foster the Franciscan spirit among people. He entered the diaconate program of the Archdiocese of San Francisco and was ordained a deacon in 1999. Helping other people was what brought him joy and purpose.
A memorial service will be held at Duggan's Serra Mortuary in Daly City on Friday, April 14, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will be a mass held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Daly City beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by the reception at Piro Hall. There will be no burial service. May Deacon Tony forever rest in peace with the Lord and be remembered by all those whose lives he touched.
