Valerie Willsea Obituary

Valerie Pasquini Willsea
November 5, 1954 - September 18, 2023
Valerie Pasquini Willsea passed away after a brief illness on September 18, 2023 in South San Francisco, California.
Born in San Francisco on November 5, 1954, Val was a warm and passionate woman who devoted her time to serving her community and those around her. An early career in banking led to her pioneering a career preparation program for disadvantaged high school students and young orphaned refugees.
Later, she spent many years serving Little Children's Aid, the arm of San Francisco Catholic Charities that fundraises and provides group services for at-risk Bay Area youth. She was also deeply involved for many years with fundraising activities for St Thomas More school.
In the latter half of her career, she served for many years as a motivational counselor and trainer for Weight Watchers, with a devoted and loyal group of clients.
Among her many interests, Val was also an enthusiastic fan of the San Francisco Giants and, from before Oracle Park was built, was a founding owner of Seats 7 & 8 in Row 20, Lower Section 128, with a near-perfect record of attending home games for many seasons.
She is survived by her sons, Cole and Grant (Mallory) Willsea, her siblings Marc (Francie) Pasquini, Dennis (Patty) Pasquini, and Christine (Ric) Bugna, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews, her cats Noodles and Lucy, a wide and varied circle of friends – many of whom she gained from a lifetime of shared community service, and her ex-husband, Louis Willsea. She was pre-deceased in death by her parents, Mark and Helen Pasquini.
In lieu of flowers or other material remembrances, the family has requested donations in her memory to either the American Cancer Society, Little Children's Aid of San Francisco, or the San Francisco Giants Community Fund.
Arrangements are being handled by Duggan's Serra Mortuary of Daly City. Memorial plans will be made at a future time.

Val was my baby sister. We were 10 years difference in age. When Val was born she was my baby. I loved to dress her and show her off to all.
I loved fixing her hair and sharing a bedroom with her. Being older I got married when she was just 14 and I moved to Omaha with my husband Ric. So the miles were hard on us as sisters . When we moved home Val was getting married and having her boys. I miss Val everyday .

Its been about 6 months since Val passed away, but this is week is beginning of the first baseball season in 24 years that Val hasn't been sitting down the row. For 22 and a half seasons she was a friendly face and wonderful friend to spend hours and hours, year after year chatting with and sharing stories of friends and family. Her absence this season has been noticed by many of the regular season ticket members in the Section 128 neighborhood especially those of in Row 20 who were fortunate to get to know her over the years.

My deepest condolences. Val visited the Weight Watcher location in Stonestown one Saturday and unfortunately, I was not there that day. Now, I have to see her photo as deceased. How sad I am, but she will be remembered for a long long time. Bye Val. Laverne

I am so sorry to hear of Valerie's passing. We were neighbors up on the Landsale/Robinhood corner. I had reconnected with Val at the Giant's games in the Gotham Club. She was always such a positive smiling face.

I met Val through WW. She motivated me and my mom to lose a good amount of weight. When I joined WW with my mom, my mom was surprised she was still a motivational speaker for WW. Val was the one of the nicest people I met. I will miss her. Val would you please say Hi to my mom, Lucille, in heaven. RIP VAL.

I just heard the sad news. We were Alpha Chi Omega sorority sisters at UOP. I encouraged her to consider joining and was exited when she did. She was a lot of fun and I have lots of memories of those days. She has gone from us way too soon. My condolences to her family, friends, and other AXO sisters.
