To Laura and Tony - I´m so sorry for your loss. I loved your folks. They were family. Your Dad was in my parents wedding. I have many pictures of my Dad and Elmo. We were just kids when we hung out. Your Dad passed so young. I´m glad you had Valia for so long - so lucky. Loved her gentle soul and her laugh. Thought of all of you when I saw `Woodside´ in the news.

Hope you remember me.

I went to the Woodside Priory with Tony. My deepest sympathies to him, his sister and family. I lost both my parents in 2021 and I am still adjusting this loss.

Dear Laura and Tony,

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I remember her as a kind and gracious woman who loved her family.

I remember one time, we were swimming in the pool and she came out and asked us if we´d like a sandwich. I envisioned a small paper plate with a bologna sandwich and maybe some chips. She disappeared through the large glass slider while we continued to loll about in the water. She reappeared and called us in.

I had never seen such a spread; a large platter of six different meats, small bowls of condiments, anti-pasta and cool refreshing lemonade. She did this for us.

She was just lovely.

Love and good wishes to you both,
Very kind regards,
your old friend Diane
